Benjamin "Skip" Martin

With more than 20 years of practice experience, Benjamin "Skip" Martin practices in the areas of Bankruptcy Law and Immigration. Representing both debtors and creditors, Skip has had considerable experience in business bankruptcies and has guided clients through more than 2,000 personal bankruptcies.He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Skip obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University in 1984.
While in law school, Skip interned at the State Attorney's Office in Fort Myers, Florida, and clerked with the Department of Banking and Finance in Tallahassee. Following graduation, Skip became an Assistant State Attorney with the State Attorney's Office in Sarasota, Florida, where he worked as a prosecuting attorney until he left to start his own practice in 1986.
Of service to his peers, in addition to his membership in the Florida Bar, his professional associations include membership in the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Skip is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
